As an end-note to the VS. threads: Sargeras really ought to have been left out. When he first came up as an option, it was obviously going to be "sargeras wins  /thread". I think we need to avoid this sort of predictability in the future.

Very true, things will be a bit different in a number of ways in the event we to this again in the future. Thanks for the feedback. Overall I think it was still fun.

You think Medivh would have enough power to transfer the might of Sargeras' mighty blow into a giant portal, causing it to fall on his own head? Damn that'd be really cool but idk

    THE END

The End Game is finally coming to a close. We started with thirty-two competitors who fought tooth, nail, and spell to move on to the later rounds, but now only two remain. Warlords of Draenor releases in less than 24 hours and we need to finish this before then! The two still standing after the dust settles are two of the most powerful beings in all of Warcraft.

    Our Contenders

Sargeras the Dark Titan is a being of immense power, arguably the strongest entity in all of Warcraft. Before him stands Medivh, son of Aegwynn, the vessel which carried his very essence for so many years. By Sargeras' will Medivh opened the Dark Portal, allowing Orcs and Demons alike to freely flow into Azeroth wreaking all manner of havoc. Although Medivh is said to be more powerful than his mother, the previous Guardian of Tirisfal, can he withstand the Champion of Titans' onslaught?

    The Battle

I know how this will end. You know how this will end. But let's not ignore the question of exactly how and why. These two know each other well. After all, they shared body for decades. This is an interesting fight, unlike any other. There are a few ways the battle could go, but I'm going to explore the most exciting option I can imagine- the one you're about to read.

The first move will technically be Sargeras', because his presence alone launches a wave of heat. That will be the first move regardless of any other factors, so we will begin there. The second move goes to Medivh, who is able to see the future, and would thus be prepared for this heat attack. He could shield himself against it, buffing himself against heat and flame at the same time. This is the wisest move, so we can assume it would be his primary option. Sargeras isn't standing still, however. He uses Medivh's defensive casting time to launch an assault of his own, summoning an army of demons to crush his tiny opponent. Medivh would know this was coming as well, and would need to move quickly to counter the enemy numbers. As he was already casting frost spells to protect himself, a frost offense would be an easy option. Summoning diamond-hard spires of ice beneath each demon to skewer them from groin to throat, quickly eliminating the enemy demons shortly after they materialized. But Sargeras would not stop with a simple ground assault; Infernals would rain like meteoric hail from the darkening skies. Medivh's options here are limited, but he is a master of many magics. With a wave of his hands, the existing spires of summoned ice would erupt like missiles towards the sky, aiming to intercept the Infernals before they could land. Sargeras would not allow this, and with a simple swipe of his own massive hand, would hurl searing heat forward to melt the ice into steam. This is part of Medivh's plan, and the human would vanish behind the cloud, teleporting within Sargeras' guard, mere meters from his flaming beard, to hurl a mighty blast directly into the Mad Titan's face. This blast would be near the power of the one his mother used against Sargeras' avatar form in the past, but as this is the true Sargeras, it would not not enough to beat him- not even enough to stagger him- but it would be enough to cause him pain. This buys time for Medivh to teleport away and it temporarily obscures the Titan's vision even more, along with the slowly-rising wall of steam from the vaporized ice. Using the precious time he has gained, Medivh would turn his attention back to the Infernals, which would now be landing all across the battlefield. Too many. Medivh would know it was folly to attempt to handle so many in the middle of the fight with Sargeras, and this means he would not attack them directly. He would allow Sargeras' rage to do that for him. Casting illusions, he would make each Infernal appear as himself to its allies, causing mass confusion and forcing the demons to attempt to eliminate one another. Sargeras, disgusted by this affront, hefts his blade and tramples his incompetent minions to enter battle himself. Sargeras is no fool, and would know the location of the true Medivh among the illusions. Swinging his massive sword, Sargeras would bring it crashing down while commanding the earth beneath Medivh to rise up at the same time. His past power as a Titan has not been lost, and he still has the ability to shape worlds with ease. As the mountain grew beneath him and Gorribal streaked down from above, Medivh's only option would be to block the falling sword- and that is where Medivh would fall.
He cannot block a blow from the strongest Titan. He himself would know this ahead of time, having seen his own failure in the future. But Medivh is an eternal, and his spirit would live on. The one last attack he could attempt would be to bind Sargeras in some way, but there is no evidence to say whether or not he could pull it off. If nothing else, he might be able to banish Sargeras from Azeroth, and buy some time for the mortal races. But in doing so, he would be too weakened to continue, and Sargeras would most like torture his soul for the next several thousand years. Until he can assault Azeroth once more.
    Sargeras wins.

posted a message on Semifinals (11/11/2014)

Hello and welcome back to The End Game!

Finals are tomorrow, and the potential match-ups are truly titillating. Medivh versus his long time arch-nemesis Sargeras? Arthas versus his childhood friend and the woman he loves, Jaina? Whatever the voters decide, tomorrow is sure to be a great match! So share and spread the word! The End Game is coming to a close! #CurseEndGame

Remember: One lucky voter every day will receive a SteelSeries wireless mouse and a QcK Mousepad!

Match 1: Sargeras vs Jaina Proudmoore

EndGameExpert Says: "Jaina has a lot of power, but nothing to compete with Sargeras. She pales in comparison to even the weakest Guardians of Tirisfal, and it took the second-strongest Guardian in history just to beat Sargeras' avatar form. Jaina would be incinerated by mere proximity. She might be able to Ice Block for a second or two... pssh, no, I can't even type that with a straight face. She's done before Sargeras even realizes she's there. She's done well to make it this far, but there's no way she could challenge a being so powerful. Even her favorite spell, her teleport, is useless. Sargeras is too powerful to move from realm to realm or place to place normally. That's why he's still not on Azeroth, there's no way to summon him there."

    VERSUS

    Match 2: Medivh vs Arthas

EndGameExpert says: "All fanboying aside, Arthas is done. Completely and utterly destroyed. As the most powerful Guardian of Tirisfal in history, Medivh was literally designed and bred to slaughter undead and the Burning Legion's pawns. Arthas cannot handle a foe who can predict his every move, get inside his head, and effortlessly bend nearly every form of magic to his will. Summon all you want, Lich King, it means nothing in the face of true power. Medivh is an eternal, cannot truly die, can fight on even when his mortal body dies, and frightened Deathwing himself. Think about that. The Dragon Aspect wielding the Demon Soul, who took on the entire planet of Azeroth's combined forces without hesitation, was afraid of even challenging Medivh. Arthas, please remember, took seven years to kill a bunch of spiders living on his doorstep with unlimited resources. Arthas doesn't even have the option of winning through luck, as Medivh sees the future. No surprise attack, no cunning strategy, and no waves of bones will change the outcome, here. 10/10, Medivh wins every battle."

posted a message on Quarterfinals (11/10/2014)

Hello and welcome back to The End Game!

This Wednesday marks the end of The End Game! Today's matchups feature some of the biggest and baddest names in Warcraft history. Sargeras takes on Alexstrasza the Life Binder, Medivh has a fated encounter with Kil'jaeden, and two of the most famous mages of all time clash to decide who moves on to the semifinals! I'd also like to take a moment and thank everyone for making this event a huge success, and rest assured we're taking no small amount of notes in the event we repeat this ritual next year! #CurseEndGame

Remember: One lucky voter every day will receive a SteelSeries wireless mouse and a QcK Mousepad!

Match 1: Jaina Proudmoore vs Kael'thas Sunstrider

EndGameExpert Says: "Jaina takes this, but not only thanks to her elemental summons and phenomenal magical talent. The two have similar skills, and both are extraordinarily powerful, but Jaina's feats in lore do outclass Kael's. However, the real reason Kael cant win is that he's in love with her. He fell for her when they were training in Dalaran, despite her disinterest in him and a mind-boggling age gap. He wouldn't be very likely to bring himself to harm her, and while Jaina once had a soft heart, she currently has a much more stony disposition, especially regarding non-Alliance races and those who would ally themselves with the Burning Legion, as Kael has done. Her rank in the Kirin Tor is greater than kael's ever was, and her current fury would be too much for Kael to withstand."

    VERSUS

    Match 2: Sargeras vs Alexstrasza

EndGameExpert says: "Sargeras' power is simply too great. The strength of 100 dragons is but a fraction of his might. Even as an Aspect, her powers only came from the Titans in the first place. There is nothing she can do against him. Her healing powers cannot withstand Sargeras' damage output potential, and she has no way to harm him. This wouldn't even be a contest. It would be a brutal, crushing slaughter. Only a Guardian of Tirisfal has ever truly challenged Sargeras, and the victory was won against his avatar, not Sargeras himself. And even that loss to Aegwynn was part of Sargeras' plan in the first place. Though Alexstrasza would be one of the few beings on Azeroth to dare defend it against Sargeras, without massive support, she would fall."

    VERSUS

    Match 3: Medivh vs Kil'jaeden

EndGameExpert says: "This fight can only go one way. Medivh is stronger than his mother Aegwynn, who was able to defeat Sargeras' avatar form with a single attack after defeating an entire army of demons. Medivh would demolish Kil'jaeden. He is too powerful and was created to fight the Burning Legion. His ability to fight demonic forces is unparalleled among mortals, and his mastery over so many different forms of magic might, under the right circumstances, even allow him to enslave Kil'jaeden to his will. This is another fight that would be won through Medivh's specific powers, not least of which is his ability to see the future, but it is also a fight won through brute force, and Medivh unquestionably has more power."

    VERSUS

    Match 4: Arthas vs Malygos

EndGameExpert says: "If Arthas beat Deathwing, Malygos will be no challenge for the Lich King to slaughter. The fact that Malygos was holed up in Coldara, mere minutes away from Icecrown Glacier, and never challenged Arthas, is telling in itself. Malygos may once have had a chance, but as he has gone insane and does not fight efficiently, Arthas should have no trouble at all. It's not as though Malygos doesn't have the ability to win, because he certainly does. It's just that the odds are firmly in Arthas' favor."

    posted a message on Round 2 - Day 4 (11/07/2014)

Hello and welcome back to The End Game!

Yesterday we saw two previously allied champions duke it out in Kael'thas versus Lady Vashj. The crowd had Kael winning it with relative ease given his mastery over the arcane. Meanwhile, Alexstrasza reduced their lord Illidan Stormrage to a pile of ash as the demon hunter failed to best the Dragon Aspect of Life. Today's matchups have interesting implications for the looming quarterfinals which start tomorrow! Be sure to tune back in to catch all the action! #CurseEndGame

Remember: One lucky voter every day will receive a SteelSeries wireless mouse and a QcK Mousepad!

    Match 1: Kil'jaden vs Nefarian

EndGameExpert Says: "This fight would have some of the best verbal build-up in Azeroth's history. Two cunning, wordy forces of evil who love to speak and relish the pain of others in any form. But on the scales of power, the weight of Kil'jaden's might is clear. I will say this- Nefarian is too powerful for us to assume Kil'jaden could simply strip away his power. Nefarian, especially in his reanimated form, is simply too strong to make that a logical- let alone winning- move. However, a being so immense, so unimaginably full of magical chaos and strength that the Sunwell itself is required simply to summon him, would still far outclass a dragon with daddy issues. Nefarian could cause damage. He could fight. But he could not win. It is a fight between a moth and a flame. The moth might make the flame flicker, but the flame will consume the insect in the end. Kil'jaden wins."

    VERSUS

    Match 2: Malygos vs Onyxia

EndGameExpert says: "I initially saw Onyxia losing this. I saw her losing it hard, and being torn apart with little effort. I even wanted her to lose, because she really should not have made it this far in the tournament if we were using logic instead of voting. I'm sure many of you agree, an Aspect is surely greater than Deathwing's welp. But as I wrote this analysis, I changed my mind. The facts give this one solidly to Onyxia, and I'm... well, I'm just as shocked as you. Let me explain. Her first advantage comes from her own skills and Malygos' weakness. She is cunning, and has a manipulative silver tongue. Malygos is insane, and chooses to talk during battle. These two in tandem createhuge openings for Onyxia, and her next advantage. She is the daughter of Deathwing, who was once Malygos' best friend. It was Deathwing's betrayal of this friendship that drove Malygos to madness in the first place, and Onyxia knows this. She knows which buttons to press to cause Malygos pain, and how to drive him deeper into despair and depression. She also knows that it's possible Malygos will go easy on her, as she would remind his fevered thoughts of better days, when his friend was near and uncorrupted. The final nail in this coffin is Onyxia's new body. She is more powerful than she was in life, and her flanks are protected, now. The electrical orbs protecting them give her a ticking clock towards victory. She needs only to draw out the battle with talking and dodging until the electric orbs overload and burst. When they explode, they normally take every living thing with them. Malygos, even as an Aspect, would take such damage from this attack, the fight would be effectively over. Onyxia could simply rip him apart and burn the pieces. He would be too broken, both physically and mentally, to have any chance at victory. Malygos' insanity and Onyxia's skills, combined with her new powers, dumb luck, and father's history, make this one a clear, if somewhat underhanded and cruel, win for the daughter of Deathwing."

    posted a message on Round 2 - Day 3 (11/06/2014)

Hello and welcome back to The End Game!

Arthas beats Deathwing?! We've experienced a couple exciting twists and turns since the beginning of this tournament, and things are only going to get more heated! There have already been several scuffles around the office over who would win these fights, justice being served in the form of wedgies and un-gloved backhanded slaps. After the next two days we will head into quarterfinals, where our "strongest" competitors thus far will meet each other to move on.

Remember: One lucky voter every day will receive a SteelSeries wireless mouse and a QcK Mousepad!

Match 1: Lady Vashj vs Kael'thas Sunstrider

EndGameExpert says: "This one is close, and honestly, so nearly-impossible to calculate it's a little annoying. In lore, these two are portrayed as near-equals, allying against similar causes with similar motivations and similar levels of power in Illidan's army. While Vashj has summons, Kael's telekinesis and weapons should match them. Vashj's bow and lightning are matched by Kael's own magic and ability to teleport. However, I think I have discovered the turning point. I hope you'll all either see my logic on this one or, if not, correct me where I missed whatever swayed you to the other side. Here, I believe Vashj wins. Why? It's actually so simple it's a little disappointing. Kael's weapons can be used against him, and Vashj has six arms. This allows her to use not one, but a potential SIX of his weapons against him at once after "defeating" the weapons. As we all know, these weapons can be turned against Kael to incredible effect, and thus he brings his own doom with him into battle unless he severely outclasses his foes. Here, he is on even ground. He doesn't dramatically outclass Vashj, so his telekinetically-controlled legendary weapons become her manually-controlled legendary weapons. To be honest, it wouldn't likely require her to have all six of her hands full to turn the tides. After she has two, the odds begin to shift towards her favor. Things improve for her more and more as she picks up more weapons. This means all she needs to do is prolong the fight. If Kael doesn't land a killing blow early, Vashj wins. And Kael doesn't fight efficiently. He drags things out, which actually benefits Vashj, here."

    VERSUS

Match 2: Alexstrasza vs Illidan Stormrage

EndGameExpert says: "This would be a great battle, taking place high in the air as winged powerhouses clash in a brilliant display of magic and martial skill. However, while many fights in this tier are close, I'm afraid I have some news many of you will hate me for. I'm afraid this one is not logically able to go to Illidan in any possible scenario that is supported by lore. Even if Illidan were allowed a sneak attack and the first strike, he can't drop Alexstrasza before she heals. The only way Alexstrasza could lose is if she were the version without her powers, which would be silly to use here. She can heal, she's empowered by the Titans, and Illidan, though formidable, badass, and, let's face it, freaking awesome, was nevertheless repeatedly captured by Maiev. Alexstrasza is credited as the strongest of the dragons. Yes, she was once captured by Nekros and the Dragonmaw clan... but only because they had the awesome power of the Dragon Soul to make it possible. That is essentially her Kryptonite, and Illidan does not have it. Even if she seeks to contain him rather than kill him, Illidan is outmatched. He would put up a fight unlike any other, and he could potentially cause her severe damage, but all that is useless against her healing. Alexstrasza either captures or kills Illidan and leaves the battle with full health."

Hello and welcome back to The End Game!

Things are heating up as we enter Day 2 of Round 2 in The End Game! Jaina versus Ragnaros saw our closest poll yet, with most people heeding the opinion of our EndGameExpert, giving Jaina a leg up given her mastery over mobility and the ability to summon endless water elementals. C'Thun, a crowd favorite, was handily taken down by The Dark Titan, Sargeras, who remains a favorite to win the whole thing.

Remember: One lucky voter every day will receive a SteelSeries wireless mouse and a QcK Mousepad!

    Match 1: Yogg-Saron vs. Medivh

EndGameExpert says: "Medivh has shown to be capable of resisting the corrupting influence of Sargeras, when the Dark Titan was bound to him body and soul, so there is no way an external force such as Yogg-Saron's corruption could sway him during battle. It goes against everything we've learned about Medivh's powers. I believe Yogg-Saron has more power, yes, but again, this fight would be won by strategy and Medivh's unique abilities, not brute force. Able to predict his enemy's every move, he would not take damage. Medivh is even able to go inside the minds of others and influence their actions, as he has several times in the past. Since Yogg-Saron has been beaten from within his own mind before, Medivh would, perhaps surprisingly, handle Yogg-Saron with only minimal risk to himself. This is not because he is more powerful, because he is not. Though, he is certainly far closer to an Old God's power than many would give him credit. He wins because of his psychic prowess and supreme force of will, which directly and perfectly counter Yogg-Saron's primary abilities as well as allow him to exploit its greatest weakness. Medivh would not need to wait until Yogg-Saron opened portals into its mind, he could simply jump in and begin destroying it. He would know every move of the battle before it began, and would be inside Yogg-Saron's mind before a single attack could be launched. Whether by luck or by skill, Medivh is perfectly suited to solo Yogg-Saron."

    VERSUS

Match 2: Arthas (The Lich King) vs. Deathwing

EndGameExpert says: "Deathwing would win here. Arthas was powerful, but even lesser Red Drakes were able to burn away the Lich King's undead minions. Deathwing's blood alone would incinerate any who got close enough to strike him, and it's unlikely he would take much, if any, damage from them through his armor plating and scales. Arthas himself is another story. He is not as easy to defeat as his minions. In the end, I believe this battle comes down to sheer size. Arthas would be forced to enter battle himself when he realized his undead army was useless against the Mad Aspect. And when he did, Deathwing would have an even greater advantage. With few ranged attacks, Arthas would not be able to keep his distance and still fight, this would place him in constant danger of being eaten, or crushed and immobilized. Once down, he would be helpless beneath a dragon capable of sundering Azeroth. Remember the War of the Spider. Arthas is powerful, but he has very clear limits. The majority of his power in battle lies in perfectly-coordinated numbers, but his minions would be nothing but kindling to Deathwing. This fight will be won by brute strength, and Deathwing has more."

Hello and welcome back to The End Game!

We're finally through Round 1 of The End Game! For the most part the matches went somewhat predictably, with Old Gods, Aspects and other Warcraft legends leaving their beaten and gored opponents to waste and rot. Thing are going to start heating up in the coming Rounds, so be sure to come back every day at 12pm EST to vote for who you think will win!

Remember: One lucky voter every day will receive a SteelSeries wireless mouse and a QcK Mousepad!

Match 1: Jaina Proudmoore vs Ragnaros

EndGameExpert says: "Though Ragnaros has incredible power, so does Jaina. It should also be noted that Ragnaros has a glaringly obvious weakness to water, andconsistently lost to his water elemental brother, Neptulon the Tidehunter. Though this fight could easily go either way, I see Jaina winning for two reasons. First, Ragnaros is slow with his large, heavy attacks, and Jaina is quick with a teleport; one of her favorite and easiest-to-use spells. Second, she can summon endless water elementals and could use them to quench most if not all of Ragnaros' flames. Though Ragnaros has more overall power, Jaina's quick wits and skill set are an enourmous hazard to Ragnaros. She can dodge him, she can weaken him, and she can kill him. His power means nothing if he can't land a blow."

    VERSUS

    Match 2: C'thun vs Sargeras

EndGameExpert says: "Many will give this to C'Thun, and I don't blame them. It would seem an Old God, especially one credited with defeating (though not killing) a Titan would make quick work of Sargeras. However, several variables should be considered. Sargeras was always the strongest of the Titans, and their greatest weapon. He wears blinding armor, and has burned out Illidan's eyes without even being present. C'Thun is essentially a giant eye to begin with, and is particularly suceptible to this passive ability. In battle, C'Thun's first phase would end immediately against Sargeras, as his eye, his core, was incinerated. Then all Sargeras needs to do is hammer through C'Thun's shield. He is too immense, and too powerful for the shield to stop him for long. Sargeras is already corrupted and would not be swayed further here. C'Thun would have no option but to attack directly, which would be next to impossible while blinded, hiding behind his shield, and facing a foe whose very presence nearly boils the air around him. Sargeras puts C'Thun on the defensive from the moment the fight begins. Even without summoning the Burning Legion to aid him, Sargeras wins."

Hello and welcome back to The End Game!

Welcome again to the final day of Groups for The End Game. Today's fights are between the number 4 and 5 seeds in our tournament, making each one relatively close by our measure! After winners are decided we will move quickly to the next round to decide who goes to quarterfinals.

Remember: One lucky voter every day will receive a SteelSeries wireless mouse and a QcK Mousepad!

Match 1: Kael'thas Sunstrider vs Gruul the Dragonkiller

True lord of Silvermoon and mana junkie, Kael'thas surrounds himself with powerful advisers who help him manipulate his many Blood Elf forces from afar. Gruul is a brutish Gronn known for chasing Deathwing himself away in battle.

EndGameExpert says: "Gruul beats Kael'thas because he was strong enough to defeat countless black dragons and Kael's weapons would not be able to damage Gruul before Gruul turned Kael to stone and smashed him."

    VERSUS

Match 2: Illidan Stormrage vs Lei Shen

Everybody loves some Illidan Stormrage, known for his epic clashes with Arthas and legendary verdant blades. His opponent, Lei Shen, is not your average tyrant. He ruled over the races of Pandaria for many years with the help of his Mogu brethren, the deviously hatched Saurok, and his mastery over lightning.

EndGameExpert says: "Illidan beats Lei Shen because he can fly, sees magic better than others, and is much faster."

    VERSUS

    Match 3: Nefarian vs Al'Akir

A fan of riddles, puzzles, and conversation in general, Nefarian enjoys playing with his victims before disposing of them in a most brutal manner. His opponent is Al'Akir the Lord of Wind, whose ability to control the very air around him makes him a worthy opponent for the Lord of Blackrock.

EndGameExpert says: "Nefarian beats Al'Akir because Al'Akir is the weakest of the Elemental Lords, and Nefarian was shown to be roughly equal to Ragnaros in power when they were rivals in Blackrock Mountain. Neither could force the other back. Al'Akir is also at a disadvantage because of a lack of real battle tactics."

    VERSUS

Match 4: Hakkar the Soulflayer vs Onyxia

Underwhelming at first glance due to his ties with the mortal and vincible troll pantheon, Hakkar is a being of insane power within the lore of Warcraft. His power exceeding that of the Elementals, but falling short of the Old Gods. His opponent is none other than the sister of Nefarian, Onyxia the Broodmother. She alone bears the burden of expanding the Black Dragonflight, the harbingers of flame and destruction.

EndGameExpert says: "Hakkar beats Onyxia because we know she is weaker than her brother Nefarian. We know Nefarian is roughly equal in power to Ragnaros because of their rivalry in Blackrock Mountain. And we know the Troll Pantheon are more powerful than the Elementals."

Hello and welcome back to The End Game!

It's Day 3 of Round 1 in The End Game, and today's match ups will be between the number 3 and 6 seeds from each group. Entering the ring are some more recognizable faces, including massive pit lords and the leaders of two different dragon flights! Day 4 of Groups will be concluded on Monday, meaning there will be no fights tomorrow.

Remember: One lucky voter every day will receive a SteelSeries wireless mouse and a QcK Mousepad!

Match 1: Lady Vashj vs Argaloth

Every bit as brutish and large as his fellow pit lords, Argaloth faces the ruler of Serpentshrine's naga, and ally to Illidan Stormrage, Lady Vashj.

    /use Tainted Core
    /y <------- TAINTED CORE TO: %t !!!
    /s <------- TAINTED CORE TO: %t !!!
    /script SendChatMessage("!!! YOU HAVE THE CORE !!!", "WHISPER", "Common", UnitName("target"));

EndGameExpert says: "Vashj beats Argaloth because it's extremely unlikely Argaloth would be able to counteract her battle strategy. He just fights head-on."

    VERSUS

    Match 2: Alexstrasza vs Magtheridon

Alexstrasza is the Life-Binder, and every bit as powerful as the title suggests. Having a love for all things living, she is more likely to desire peaceful resolution than hasty, brutal punishment.

EndGameExpert says: "Alexstrasza beats Magtheridon because she has far more power, and tremendous healing abilities."

    VERSUS

Match 3: Kil'jaden vs Ossirian the Unscarred

Kil'jaden is only able to be summoned into Azeroth with a massive amount of power, such as that of the Sunwell. Ossirian is an Anubisath champion, his role legendary in the War of the Shifting Sands against the Bronze Dragonflight.

EndGameExpert says: "Kil'jaden beats Ossirian because Ossirian can't damage Kil'jaden. While Osirian's magical wards would normally be a troublesome barrier to get through, Kil'jaden can strip others of their powers, rendering the protection useless."

    VERSUS

    Match 4: Malygos vs Anub'arak

A few steps short of utterly insane, Malygos' proximity to magic his entire life has twisted the old dragons mind. His knowledge of all things magic make him a keen foe against the scheming and seemingly unkillable Crypt Lord.

EndGameExpert says: "Malygos beats Anub'arak because he can fly and Anub'arak can't deal much damage at range. Anub'arak's own magic would certainly be used against him by Malygos, who would understand and counter it immediately."

Hello and welcome back to The End Game!

Welcome back fight attendees!Day 1's matches came to a predictable close, with all the number 1 seeds moving on: Ragnaros defeats Zul'jin, Yogg-Saron defeats Shek'zeer, Arthas beats Cho'gall, and C'thun beats Garrosh Hellscream (albeit the battle was much closer than one might have expected).

It's Day 2 of Round 1 in The End Game, and today's match ups feature some heavy hitting contenders and crowd favorites from seeds 2 and 7!

Remember: One lucky voter every day will receive a SteelSeries wireless mouse and a QcK Mousepad!

Match 1: Jaina Proudmoore vs Kel'thuzad

These two magic wielding masters come at each other from opposite ends of the moral spectrum! Kel'thuzad serving The Lich King and Jaina being The Lich King's friend turned enemy after the Culling of Stratholme.

EndGameExpert says: "Jaina beats Kel'thuzad because she does not hold back against undead and has far too much magical power for him to contend with. She also knows to destroy the phylactery."

     VERSUS

    Match 2: Sargeras vs Archimonde

Sargeras is the immortal ruler of the Burning Legion, his opponent being one of his most trusted commanders, but does that mean their power is even close to being on an equal level?

EndGameExpert says: "Sargeras beats Archimonde because we are told Mannoroth and Archimonde are as fleas before Sargeras."

     VERSUS

Match 3: Medivh vs Sha of Fear

Medivh is said to be the greatest wizard to ever have lived, his power a threat to even Deathwing, the Aspect of Destruction. His opponent is the Sha of Fear, a shadowy manipulator, and culprit behind the corruption of the Mantid Empress Shek'zeer. Can sheer willpower overcome a foe who's main weapon is control over an aspect of human nature?

EndGameExpert says: "Medivh beats the Sha of Fear because he has too much power. He is more powerful than his mother, who beat Sargeras' avatar on her own after fighting an entire army of demons. This would be a long battle and if Medivh screws up, he could potentially lose."

     VERSUS

    Match 4: Deathwing vs Varimathras

Deathwing is the Aspect of Destruction, whose very release upon Azeroth transformed the entire planet. Before him is Varimathras, a formerly loyal servant of Sylvanas and disciple of Sargeras.

EndGameExpert says: "Deathwing beats Varimathras with a few bites. He massively outclasses the demon."

Hello and welcome to The End Game!

Today marks the beginning of a massive showdown to decide just who is the biggest and most badass boss of them all! Be sure to vote above to determine who you think would win in these epic, hypothetical clashes between giants. Before each graphic we'll tell you who our EndGameExpert thinks would win the fight, but ultimately your votes will decide who moves on, and who gives up their sweet, sweet loots. Make sure Master Looter is enabled, and let's get ready to rumble!

Remember: One lucky voter every day will receive a SteelSeries wireless mouse and a QcK Mousepad!

    Match 1: Ragnaros vs Zul'jin

EndGameExpert's pick: "Ragnaros beats Zul'jin because Zul'jin's animal spirit transformations [his main damage dealing ability] have significantly less power and cannot take advantage of any of Ragnaros' weaknesses."

    VERSUS

     Match 2: Yogg-Saron vs Grand Empress Shek'zeer

EndGameExpert: "Yogg-Saron beats Shek'zeer because Shek'zeer would not be able to frighten Yogg-Saron, and already has almost no sanity left. She would be reduced to a gibbering wreck by mere proximity to the Old God, to be easily dragged in and devoured."

    VERSUS

Match 3: C'Thun vs Garrosh Hellscream

EndGameExpert: "Garrosh beats C'Thun because he's already corrupted by another source and can easily handle the battle strategy required. It would take him a while, but he would hack away until swallowed, then hack his way out again."

    VERSUS

Match 4: Arthas Menethil vs Cho'gall

EndGameExpert: "Arthas beats Cho'Gall because of his clarity of thought and ability to summon undead. He could command his forces to victory with relative ease, as he cares nothing for their safety."

No, you're right his kit is definitely on the most creative side, I guess I should have elaborated upon my thought a little bit more. What I meant to imply was that I'm more partial to champions that are really skillshot reliant, my favorites being Lux and Brand. But maybe they're just past a certain skill threshold where communication becomes more important. People seem less likely to talk trash on you if they're saying it "to your face" in a sense, but that works on the whole internet anonymity theory and how it affects player behavior.

Yeah... I don't think I've ever played a champion because I thought they looked cool, is that weird? I usually play based on the kit, not how they look. Looks are a bonus, but in general considering no look is truly unique (anyone can have your skin or your champion) I lean more towards playing weirder champions with unique or difficult kits.
