Die Young opens with a distinct air of mystery. You play as a young girl, kidnapped and trapped on an island for reasons beyond your comprehension. All you know is that you’ve been left to starve in a deep, dark hole. You’ll need to get out if you want to have any hope of surviving your ordeal, but escaping the pit is only the first challenge that awaits.
The island you’re stranded on is far from uninhabited. A strange community calls the place their home, and are seemingly happy to go about their daily life as if nothing is amiss. Every instinct tells you to approach someone and ask for help — but given that you don’t know the identity of your kidnappers, it’s unwise to be too trusting when it comes to strangers.
For all you know, the only person you can rely on is yourself. You’ll need to use every ounce of strength in your body to traverse the island, and every fibre of your gray matter to understand what’s really going on under the surface.
There are dark threats lurking in the shadows, and you have no way to defend yourself. Running and hiding is your best course of action — but even evasion can be very challenging when the sweltering summer heat leaves you thirsty and hungry. Survival takes many forms, and they’re all equally important.
