In a day and age where you can pick from a wide selection of racing sims, arcade racers, kart racers, etc., it takes something special to make you stand out. Luckily that’s exactly what Ivory Tower and Ubisoft Reflections have with The Crew, a one-of-a-kind open world racing experience. We’re pleased to announce our Wiki for The Crew, and tell you more about the game.

So, what is The Crew? It’s a persistent open-world racing game in which the United States of America is yours to explore. Yes, the entire United States – shrunk down for the sake of gameplay experiences, of course, but it will still take you 90 uninterrupted minutes to drive from New York City to Los Angeles. Considering that there are hundreds upon hundreds of challenges, races, derbys, and other things to keep you busy, and you will find a wealth of content for you to gnaw on for a very, very long time.

Even though you’re in a world that’s populated by thousands of other players, you will be able to experience a realized single-player campaign that is said to clock in at over twenty hours long. In this campaign you take on the role of an agent who is infiltrating all manners of criminal groups; illegal street racing, trafficking of goods, and generally anything that requires a vehicle and a penchant for avoiding the authorities.

If you’re wanting to take a break from the campaign, The Crew offers a bevy of different activities to experience. You can take part in eight-player street races, or objective-based multiplayer modes where you’ll have to outrun police, smash up AI-controlled vehicles, or perform a particular feat for a set amount of time. You and your friends can also form your own “Crew” (thus the name of the game) where you can race against each other or rival crews.

The Crew is slated for release on November 11th, 2014 in North America, on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Xbox 360. You can also sign up for beta access to the game through The Crew‘s official website, and you can learn more about the different cars, locations, game modes, and just about everything else under the virtual sun, by visiting our The Crew Wiki.
