For a one-person team, Voxel Quest is an incredibly ambitious project: a sandbox RPG with enough features to make your head spin. However, there are just over two days left on its Kickstarter and it and it could really use your help on reaching its goal to become fully-funded. Voxel Quest aspires to do something very impressive: creating a fantasy RPG with a fully dynamic and persistent world. Each procedurally generated world is filled with a fully functional ecosystem, government and economy as well as NPCs capable of interacting with the different systems in the world. Such interactions will produce the game’s story elements, thus you’ll come to find that there aren’t any pre-fabricated story trees.
The game also aims to be challenging, but fair. Sure, there’s perma-death but it’s not overly punishing when you can simply find your old corpse and loot that awesome gear you found, or perhaps move your spirit to a new body before your draw your last breath. If that fails, you can always try and find love, reproduce and perhaps have your offspring carry the torch when your character kicks the bucket!
