Join the Wings for Life World Run to Benefit Spinal Cord Research: Find an Event or Download the App

May 7th marks this year's Wings for Life World Run! This global charity event is synced to happen at exactly the same time around the world, with a uniquely fun format that enables everyone of every ability to participate and set their own goals.

A half hour after the race starts, a moving finish line dubbed the "Catcher Car" will begin chasing runners along the course. It'll gradually get faster until each runner is caught. The current record for longest run before being caught is a whopping 88.44km!

Best of all, every cent raised will go to fund cutting-edge Spinal Cord research.

"100% of all entry fees and all donations raised through fundraising campaigns goes directly to life-changing spinal cord research projects and clinical trials at renowned universities and institutes worldwide. The nonprofit Wings for Life Spinal Cord Research Foundation is a driving force behind the mission, and Red Bull covers the foundation’s administrative costs in full as well as costs for the Wings for Life World Run."

The discoveries made in this field provide hope that it will be possible to improve the quality of life of people with spinal cord injuries, as well as bring about their recovery.

Ready to lace up your running shoes? Here's how you can get involved in this year's run, which takes place May 7th at 11am UTC:

  • Find an event happening near you! Sign up and join thousands at a Wings for Life World Run official starting line. An actual Catcher Car will be present to chase you as you work on your goal.
  • Download the app and run wherever you are with a virtual Catcher Car chasing you. You'll still see your name on the Global Result List, and can even join an Organized App Run.
  • Create your own fundraising campaign and ask your friends, family, or gaming community to support your run and make a difference together. 50% of people who donate do it because a friend asks them to, so let the world know why you've chosen this challenge!
