We're happy to announce to all you Curse fans out there a new partnership with ZeniMax Online Studios to support their next closed beta* event for The Elder Scrolls Online! Together we're bringing the community a whopping 500,000 beta keys, and are especially jazzed to offer them to Premium members first. That's right -- you guys are the pillars of the Curse community, and we'd be nowhere without your support. Therefore, Premium members will get access to the pool of keys a full two days before everyone else:

    Premium Only: February 4th - 5th, 2014
    All Curse Members: February 6th - 10th, 2014

Visit to grab yours now, and be sure to sign up for Curse Premium to be one of the first to claim.

If you haven't looked into the game yet, you're in for a real treat! The Elder Scrolls Online is a much more social continuation of the beloved and richly fabricated universe which holds the continent of Tamriel and all the difficulties that arise in it.

The game is set a millenium prior to the events of Skyrim, with the Daedric Prince Molag Bal appearing as the main antagonist as he attempts to conquer all of Tamriel. Players are able to explore most of the continent, and join one of three alliances warring over the throne of the Emperor of Tamriel:

    • The Aldmeri Dominion, composed of Altmer, Bosmer and Khajiit (represented by a bird of prey)
    • The Daggerfall Covenant, composed of Bretons, Redguards and Orcs (represented by a lion)
    • The Ebonheart Pact, composed of Dunmer, Nords and Argonians (represented by a dragon).

Additionally, massive PvP battles allow you to fight for your alliance in heart-pumping battles against enemy armies of hundreds across the battlefields of Cyrodiil. How will your Elder Scrolls legacy play out online?

Head to the official TESO site for more details on the game and to check out the perk-filled pre-purchase options, and be sure to check out our TESO Wiki for all known information on the races, places, and faces of Tamriel!

*The Elder Scrolls Online is still under NDA. This is a closed beta event and all participants will be required to sign an NDA in order to participate. You may not film, livestream, take screenshots, or otherwise talk about your experiences while participating in this closed beta event.

  • published the article Banner Saga "Creating The Banner" Art Contest

The creators of The Banner Saga, Stoic and Versus Evil, have recently launched a contest called “Creating the Banner” to generate an epic community banner that will travel with them to trade-shows, conferences and other events. The banner will represent the great community of players and fans as well as the experiences that they went through while playing The Banner Saga. We want to bring this contest to the attention of all our awesome and artistic fans here at Gamepedia, home of the Official Banner Saga Wiki, with the hopes that you can earn an opportunity to be recognized for your artwork!

"The Banner Saga has been applauded by reviewers and fans alike for the art style, something we are incredibly proud of. We’ve seen such great fan art for the game that it made sense to ask our fans to assist us in designing a real life banner.  We are looking for designs based on the traditional Viking runic art style as seen on the Godstones in the game,” said Stoic’s Art Director Arnie Jorgensen.  “One way of recording history in early Viking times was for each family to contribute (sew) their own ‘saga’ onto their clan’s banner.  Similarly, we plan to include some of the best designs submitted in this contest to create a twelve foot banner depicting our fan’s experiences with the game, creating a community ‘saga’." - From the Makers of The Banner Saga

To enter this exciting contest for the chance to not only see your artwork used in the official Banner Saga Banner but to also win a miniature version to display at home, you can visit and submit your artwork! While we enourage you to visit the contest site to see the full details and official rules, the basic guidelines are:
    • Your art needs to be an original Viking themed design
    • No smaller than 360dpi
    • Minimum size of 18” x 18” square or 18” x 36” rectangle (either portrait or landscape)
    • Art needs to be submitted as a jpeg by March 13, 2014 at 11:59PT

    Best of Luck!

  • published the article Official Default Dan Wiki & Final Days on Kickstarter

Looking for something new and fun to try? Check out Default Dan, a great new casual platformer currently being developed by our friends at Kikiwik Games. While you can check out the Limited Alpha available on the game's site, you should also take a moment to check out the game on Kickstarter. If you like what you see, you can help them reach their funding goal before the end of the month! Additionally, you can now find the Official Default Dan Wiki here on Gamepedia!

Default Dan is a quirky cross-platform platformer game that we first encountered during the MAGFest Indie Games Showcase. It combines the traditional gameplay of this genre, with completely unexpected mechanics that turn many of your gaming instincts on their head. While we usually love to jump up and grab those coins, in Default Dan those coins will send pieces of your lifeless corpse flying across the screen. Even after several levels you may not be able to resist the urge to grab those shiny golden coins, despite having learned of their explosive nature. And that's just one of the crazy situations you'll have to work through as you try to navigate Dan through each level!

I don't want to spoil any more of the fun for you, but suffice to say that you'll find yourself laughing (and maybe cursing) after your instincts betray for you for the hundredth time in a row! Check out the game's trailer below, and don't forget to stop by their Kickstarter and help them with their last inch before their deadline of January 31st!

When new information for Default Dan is released, the wiki is ready and waiting for you! If you're interested in becoming a contributor, please see the Default Dan Help Page. There is also the new Gamepedia Help Wiki for more in-depth tutorials and contribution tips and the wiki community may also be found in IRC.

This week, Gamepedia gives a welcome to its newest Official Wiki for the exciting Medieval Hardcore Sandbox MMO titled Life is Feudal Life is Feudal is an exciting new take on both the idea of the sandbox and MMO genres featuring full and unlimited terraforming abilities, a huge persistent world that is 100% available to be built upon and modified by the player, extensive skill and crafting systems, as well as much more! We've been hard at work getting thousands of pages of information about the skills, items, crafting systems, and more ready on this wiki and are happy to invite our community to join us on the project.

Life is Feudal promises to breathe new life into these genres. The game's team says that all of the following are possible things to keep you occupied as you journey through this beautiful and dynamic world:

    • Dig a tunnel in nearby mountain to find ore deposits
    • Build furnaces, bloomeries and forges to smelt ore and craft metal tools, weapons and armor
    • Call your friends to cut down trees around your shack to create a village and your own Realm later
    • Wage a war with a neighbouring realm
    • Establish a siege camp, cover it with palisade walls and start making weapons of war (trebuchets, battering rams, mantlets)
    • Become a King of your own Kingdom with vassal realms and fill your treasury with tributes/taxes they pay you
    • Build a jousting grounds in your city and call for a world wide jousting tournament
    • And infinitely more!

What you won't be able to do is worry about hitting a level cap, because there are no levels in this entirely skill-driven world. The entire game has been designed to ensure complete freedom, so long as you've built up the skills you need to survive!

The Life is Feudal team, led by Vladimir aka "Bobik", is hard at work preparing for their upcoming Alpha and Beta tests, with a full release slated for later in 2014. If you're interested in trying this game out when testing begins, be sure to register at their site and join in on the forums!

Everyone loves voxels, and Trion Worlds is no exception. Their latest project, dubbed Trove, is a free-to-play exploration game which stretches across many genres, and with many features we've never really seen in other voxel games.

We'll be seeing elements of both sandboxes and RPGs present, with players able to explore a huge multiverse. Here's what we know about game features (more details in Massively's interview):

    • Anchoring you is your cornerstone -- a home plot that you can bring with you across worlds.
    • Full universe full of world 'spawns' -- each is temporary and really just meant to explore and move on
    • They are generated when you log in and may or may not disappear upon logout
    • Two types - public, with rare resources and specific objectives, and private worlds which you explore yourself or with a group
    • Players will be able to create and build things outside of the game, and then import these creations directly into online worlds
    • Dynamically generated worlds which are fully constructible and destructible
    • Multiclassing available -- you can master everything (no word on what these classes will be yet)
They're now accepting signups for Alpha testers, so head on over to to register and read more! Trion will be communicating directly with alpha testers through mediums like Reddit and forums to determine game direction, so this community will undoubtedly be important to the future of the game. We'll be sure to keep an eye on this title as it evolves, so stay tuned.
Our active wiki community here at Gamepedia has already started a Trove wiki, so be sure to head over there and contribute or just read what's there so far!
