The RPG Action of Portal Knights Hits PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

In Portal Knights, willing adventurers are tasked with bringing peace to a realm shattered by the destructive power of The Fracture. The land is in great peril, and there's a dire need for daring heroes who are capable of meeting the forces of darkness head on. Today, Portal Knights comes to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, allowing a whole new wave of would-be warriors, rangers, and mages to join the fray.

Portal Knights is a 3D action RPG that puts you and your friends in complete control of your adventure. It's completely open-ended, so you're free to focus on whichever aspect of the game appeals to you most, whether it's combat, exploration, or its intricate crafting system.

As you travel across the various unique islands that comprise the game's world map, you'll find all kinds of different resources to help you on your quest. Portal Knights features over 100 craftable items in total, so it's well worth grabbing all the materials that you can to ensure that you can create anything you desire.

The game's three distinct character classes each have access to their own crafting trees, which yield particular desirable goods and items. Of course, crafting gives adventurers access to weapons, armor, and items that will help with their heroic acts, but it also offers up a method of building and furnishing a base camp — which can be simple and spartan, or grand and gigantic.

Having a place to call home isn't such a bad idea in Portal Knights. With monsters roaming the land and giant bosses lurking further afield, there's some comfort to having a place that's free from the darkness.
