If you're a fan of the roguelite sub-genre, then you may want to check out Rift Keeper out now on PC. As the title suggests, Rift Keeper has you defending rifts that act as gateways between other realms; however, all of the rift keys have been stolen, leaving you to recover them before it's too late.
Developed by Frymore, this game features over 120 different weapons and items, 30 hand crafted dungeons, a dynamic difficulty system, and a synthwave soundtrack. Your equipment can be upgraded as you play through the game, but items come with their own down-sides. For example, you might find a weapon that deals huge damage, but the trade-off is that it can drain and lower your health. Finding which items work best for your play style will be the key to success.
The game also has a gorgeous pixel art style and some very satisfying animations. Fans of roguelite's are currently enjoying a golden age with countless quality games being released. Rift Keeper looks to be another great addition to the list.
