Defy The Laws Of Physics In Control

Control launches today on PC, PS4, and Xbox One! Developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by 505 Games, Control is a action-adventure third-person shooter where you play as Jesse Faden, the new Director for the Federal Bureau of Control--a secret U.S. government agency tasked with containing and studying phenomena which violate the laws of reality. Utilizing powerful supernatural abilities, players will fight back an invading enemy force known as the Hiss, which are corrupting reality.

The Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) is storing objects of power in a featureless skyscraper in Manhattan known as the Oldest House. This skyscraper is connected to alternate dimensions that are studied by the FBC and is considered a place of power. Those who enter will discover that it is indescribably larger on the inside than it appears on the outside, and there are objects and phenomena that defy scientific law contained within. These objects are known as Altered Items, and some of these items can be used to gain new abilities in the game!

Control is built like a Metroidvania, in which players will explore the nonlinear game while backtracking often to previously inaccessible areas once new abilities have been unlocked; however, unlocking control points will allow players to fast-travel to various locations once they have been cleared of enemies. Utilizing a combination of telekinetic-like supernatural abilities, players will enter the Oldest House and fight back the invading Hiss forces in order to regain control over the skyscraper and restore order to the Bureau!
